The Stamps (Exemption from Stamp Duty) (Mortgage of VISA Plastics Ltd

Assets) Instrument, 2005.

(Under section 10 of the Stamps Act, Cap. 342).

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister responsible for finance by section 10 of the Stamps Act, this Instrument is made this 4th day of November, 2005.

  1. Title

This Instrument may be cited as the Stamps (Exemption from Stamp Duty) (Mortgage of VISA Plastics Ltd Assets) Instrument, 2005.

  1. Exemption from stamp duty

The stamp duty chargeable under the provisions of section 2 of the Act on the mortgage executed by VISA Plastics Ltd of land and developments at LRV 2639, Folio 1, Plot M244 and a charge on existing machinery and new polypropylene bags and ropes production line of VISA Plastics Ltd as security for a loan of Uganda Shillings 4,205,742,400/= from DFCU Limited is exempted.
