The Electoral Commission (Appointment of Date of Completion of Update of Voters’ Register for Busiki County Constituency, Iganga District) Instrument, 2003.

(Under subsection (7) and (8)(b) of the Electoral Commission Act 1997, (as amended).

In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Minister by subsection (7) and (8)(b)of the Electoral Commission Act, 1997 (as amended), this Instrument is made this 15th day of May, 2003.

1.          Citation

This Instrument may be cited as the Electoral Commission (Appointment of Date of Completion of Update of Voters’ Register for Busiki County Constituency, Iganga District) Instrument, 2003.

2.          Appointment of date of completion

The 16th day of May, 2003 is appointed as the date upon which the Commission shall complete the exercise of updating the Voters’ Register for purposes of the completion of Parliamentary By-Election in Busiki County Constituency, Iganga District.

3.          No applications accepted after appointed date

For purposes of paragraph 2 of this Instrument, after the appointed date, no application form in Busiki County Constituency, Iganga District shall be accepted by the Electoral Commission, seeking—

(a)                               to register as a voter; or

(b)                               to transfer to a new voting location.
