2001 No. 5. The Excise Tariff (Amendment of Schedule) (No. 1)

Order, 2001.

(Under subsection (2) of section 1 of the Excise Tariff Act, Cap. 174)

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister responsible for finance by subsection (2) of section 1 of the Excise Tariff Act, this Order is made this 18th day of January, 2001.

1.         Citation and duration.

This Order may be cited as the Excise Tariff (Amendment of Schedule) (No. 1) Order, 2001 and shall continue in force until the 15th day of June, 2001 and then expire.

2.          Amendment of Schedule.

The Schedule to the Excise Tariff Act is amended in Heading No. 17.04 under the description Sugar confectionery (including white chocolate), not containing cocoa by substituting for the excise duty of nil per Kg the following—

“10%per Kg”.
